Bon, il a aimé ces Bordeaux 2015 et particulièrement les Rive Droite, mais pas que ! Il met en avant les grandes réussites à la rubrique « Don’t miss » ( à ne pas rater) dont :
Valandraud rouge 93-96 « Deep, and beautifully layered, the 2015 Valandraud offers fabulous richness to match its seamless, alluring personality. Crème de cassis, blackberry jam, spice, licorice, menthol and lavender give the 2015 much of its unctuous feel. Silky tannins help reinforce an impression of opulence. As always, Valandraud is one of the most exotic, intense wines in Saint-Émilion, and yet, all the elements are very nicely woven together. The 2015 is 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, all fermented in barrel. Tasted two times. »
Valandraud blanc 93-96 « The 2015 Valandraud Blanc is laced with hints of apricot pit, orchard fruit, mint, lemon confit, chamomile and sweet spices. Fermentation in barrel and lees stirring during élevage give the wine its signature textural richness and body. Unctuous and inviting, the Valandraud Blanc hits all the right notes. This is very nicely done. »
Mais aussi Marojallia 93-95+ : «A total pleasure bomb, the 2015 Marojallia is flat-out stunning. This spectacularly rich, flamboyant Margaux is endowed with serious depth to match its deep, unctuous personality. Layers of dark red cherry, plum, smoke, violets and menthol build as the wine opens up with air. Don't expect subtlety or restraint; Marojallia is an extravagantly lush, vivid, modern Margaux. But you will want a second glass after your first, and another after that. Marojallia is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot that saw 4-5 weeks on the skins and 100% new oak. Christophe Coupez and Michel Rolland consult. Wow! Tasted three times. »
Il liste également des pépites (« under the radar gems ») où l’on peut trouver Bad Boy (87-89), La Vieille Cure (90-93), La Marzelle (91-94).
